Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Littleton, MA
Job Description:
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will use creativity and problem solving skills to perform individually designed or automated tests on fault tolerant and high availability virtual server products. The successful candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, and capable of independent work.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the development of test plans and procedures
- Setting up test stations and test environments
- Meticulously execute detailed tests to expose bugs
- Finding, tracking, and reproducing bugs and fixes
- Work closely with members of the Development, Release Engineering and Documentation teams to ensure proper product testing and product quality
- Maintaining and improving current test suites
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and switch priorities effectively
- BS/BA degree with 5 plus years QA experience
- Microsoft Windows Server installation/application/debugging experience
- Experience with other fault tolerant or high availability technologies (clusters, data replication)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (XenSource, VMware)
- Familiar with PERL
- Knowledge of networking, storage or Linux
