Medical Coverage
Full Time employees and their qualified dependents become eligible on their date of hire.

Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare HMO Value Plan

  • Provides comprehensive in network care
  • Members must select a primary care physician
  • Referrals to a specialist are required
  • $15 office visit co-pay
  • Prescription coverage

Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare HMO - Best Buy 2000 Plan

  • Provides comprehensive in network care
  • Members must select a primary care physician
  • Referrals to a specialist are required
  • $20 office visit co-pay
  • Prescription coverage
  • Certain services require deductibles be met before benefits are paid

Vision Plan

  • Eye exam and eyewear discounts through Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare

Dental: Delta Dental Premier

  • Within the extensive network:
  • Every 6 months - preventative - 100%
  • Basic restoration - 80% after deductible
  • Major restoration - 50% after deductible
  • $1,500 calendar year maximum

Domestic Partner Coverage
Domestic partners are eligible for coverage under the medical and dental insurance plans.

401(k) Plan
Marathon offers participation in a 401(k) plan with Scudder Investments. Employees become eligible on the first of the month following their hire date.

Life Insurance
Marathon provides one times your annual salary in term life insurance.

Optional Life Insurance
Supplemental coverage is available in multiples of annual salary up to five times, to a maximum of $200,000. Premiums are based on age and the supplemental amount selected. Premiums are paid through payroll deduction. Spouse and dependent coverage is available.

Short Term Disability
Marathon provides short-term disability insurance for the period not covered by the LTD plan below. After an elimination period of 7 calendar days, this insurance provides 67% of regular base salary (plus an average of commissions, if applicable) for up to 90 days of a disability.

Long Term Disability
Marathon offers employees the option of purchasing long-term disability insurance, through payroll deduction. The benefit is 60% of base salary (plus an average of commissions, if applicable), to a maximum of $10,000/month, for employees who are disabled for more than 90 days.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Basic coverage provided by Marathon is equal to the employee's base salary.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Marathon provides a full Section 125 Plan.  Employees may withhold (pre-tax) up to $3,000 for out-of-pocket medical/dental expenses as well as $5,000 for dependent care.  Both the healthcare and dependent care spending accounts have a debit card option to ease the utilization of this benefit.

Health Reimbursement Account  (HRA)
Employer funded plan that reimburses employees for incurred medical deductibles that are not covered by the company’s HMO Best Buy 2000 health insurance plan.  Individual plan reimbursement is $750 per calendar year, 2 or more person plan reimbursement is $1,500 per calendar year.  Reimbursement dollars received by the employees are tax free.

Health Club Reimbursement
Annual reimbursement through Harvard Pilgrim of $150 towards the cost of a health club membership is available.

Vacation
Regular full-time employees receive 10 days each calendar year (accrued monthly).

Sick Time
Regular full-time employees receive 5 sick days per calendar year to a maximum accrual of 10 days.

Holidays
Marathon provides 11 paid holidays in each calendar year.

Employee Referral Program
Marathon's employee referral program provides employees with a $3,000 bonus if a candidate they refer is a successful hire of at least 90 days.
